Is this IBAN valid?
Paste an IBAN to check its country, length and checksum. Nothing is sent — the check is pure math.

How it works
Every IBAN starts with a country code and two check digits. The validator checks the length required for that country, then runs the ISO 13616 mod-97 checksum, which catches almost all typos and swapped digits.
A valid IBAN only means the number is well-formed — it doesn't prove the account exists or belongs to who you expect.
FAQ
Does a valid IBAN mean the account exists?
No. The checksum catches typos, but only the bank can confirm the account is open and who owns it.
Why is my IBAN the wrong length?
Each country has a fixed IBAN length — for example 22 characters in Germany and the UK, 27 in France. Check for missing or extra characters.
